OPEN RACING WITH MANDRA - 6/6/2011

Your dreams can be reality in 2011. Come race with MANDRA at Beaver Springs on Saturday, July 9 during the US 30 Reunion weekend. On this day only, MANDRA is opening its roster to non-members for non-points racing. Dust off your pre-1972 muscle car and test your reaction time against some of the best nostalgia racers in the Mid-Atlantic region. All entries must meet MANDRA rules available at www.MANDRAracing.com. On the day of the race, simply sign in at the MANDRA headquarters trailer and rev-up that engine.  May 24, 2011: Quarter Aces Race Results

Bob,

Good morning Bob. We were able to draw 14 cars out of the woods, even though it looked like rain. It never did rain, but came close.

13 cars did make 1st round, I put the car in the trailer after I final found a water leak from a cracked block. Will be pulling motor today and replacing it with the motor that I broke roller lifter last July. so much for me.  Final four Charlie Immrest, John Wise, Mark  English and Bob English. John broke  giving Charlie a bye into final  Bob took out Mark. For a Charlie Vs Bob final

Needless to say Charlie choked and gave the win to Bob with a “red” light start.

Stanley Dye was more than generous to the club. He charged us 40.00 to get in , than turns around and gives it all back to the club. I kept 85.00 for the club, 250. To winner , 125 to runner  up, and 50.00 to the Semi winners.

He said that the spectators is what puts the money in his purse, he was more than happy with us being there.

Did have major oil down before we did second round, so it was a little late by the time we got finished.
